A lunch lid has been called until 2 p.m. Some color from the White House grounds on President Obama's final day in office: The sun has poked out from behind the clouds over 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. National Park Service grounds crews are busy sprucing up the North Lawn in anticipation of tomorrow's inaugural festivities. Landscapers were putting down new mulch underneath the shrubbery and a street cleaner swept up debris from the driveway where President-elect Trump is expected to enter the building. The White House feels emptier than usual, with many staffers departing over the past several days. Photos of Obama, his family and staff that previously lined the West Wing walls have been taken down, though some are still hanging as of this pool report. Incoming Trump White House press staffer Raj Shah and RNC spokesperson Lindsay Walters were here getting a tour of the press basement and learning the ropes of the White House computer system. President Obama has no public events on his schedule today, but he is scheduled to have his final weekly lunch with Vice President Biden at 12:30 PM.
