The Evangelist Pat Robertson seized the moment to fundraise, what else. In the DC culture, one learns soon enough to fundraise off bad news. It bumps bucks.
As founder of GOD IN THE TEMPLES OF GOVERNMENT a photographic essay that impacted the SCOTUS landmark case Van Orden v Perry, I was stunned to read what is clearly so vettable a statement, by Robertson, it will lead to outcry for hims to step down from his pulpit, inviting charges and investigation in to his leading a bully pulpit, moreso by a community leader as wealthy as he is in constituents and other holdings.
I personally walked corner to corner of DC, in to sites the public has access to in person and in public. There is no mistaking that Muhammad is and has been for decades recognized as a Law Giver, influence of our Judicial system.
Pat Robertson flaying Yale's plans for Quran as 'law book' is incitement.
It bothers me to have to take this stance, clearly Pat Robertson is not up to speed of what is written on the walls in the Supreme Court, US Capitol & other courts in DC, images of Muhammad as a lawmaker, images I documented back in 2003 while photographing my God project GOD IN THE TEMPLES OF GOVERNMENT www.godinthetemplesofgovernment.com
I became the archivist of where God is and isn't in the United States Capitol.
My taking time to pen this piece is in no way intended as a defense of terrorism but written to factually correct Roberston's ill delivered blast illustrating Robertson is guilty of the same incitement, abuse of pulpit that Robertson and others accuse Imams of manufacturing.
I am in no way defending anyone here or any religion here. I am stating that someone with the pulpit that Robertson has leadership over should be factually correct when he speaks out.
Joseph Lowry is an associate professor from the University of Pennsylvania.
No one stopped 700 Club leader Robertson, whose net worth is reportedly in and around $200 million, from making his own donation to the Yale Law School, Georgetown University or any of the other institutions the Saudis are giving sizable donations, too.
Moreso, evangelical benefactors and leaders are themselves guilty of discrimination.
Former Thomas Nelson Publishing leadership were reported to be signing only authors pledging to Christ. Hobby Lobby, known for their craft store's challenge to the Supreme Court, was recently called out for not offering Jewish product in their stores. Hobby Lobby has yet to respond to queries to integrate GOD IN THE TEMPLES OF GOVERNMENT, landmark in achievement of being evidence in Van Orden v Perry, in to C.E.O. Stephen Green's under construction DC located Museum Of The Bible.
"Je suis Juif" I was told may be that reason why I shouldn't hold my breath.
One's faith has nothing to do with being factually correct. Being a leader has every obligation of fiduciary to be of fact let alone when it comes to religiously divisive America.
Being called 'authority' by SCOTUS, does have some bragging rights creds, attached. Being a photographer who shot the Quran in the Supreme Court frieze makes my writing this response, well, indisputable. It is there. It is a judicial influence of America, like it or lump it.
If Reverend Pat Robertson cannot respect the Supreme Court of the United states and the US Congress for accepting Muhammad as a lawmaker then Robertson should step down from his position but only, wink, after hosting me on his show allowing me to tour Robertson to where Muhammad has always been. No apologies needed.
Somehow, I don't think my phone will be ringing off the wall from H.L. or Reverend Robertson. The price of me giving a personal tour isn't cheap. Part of the cost is fair play and honesty.
I answer to an even higher authority....
